⚠️ 5 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK We'd rather you know now than be surprised later. 1.🏠 Historic Building - Real Character, Real Wear This is a charming 1890 building, well-maintained but not a brand-new build. Think character, not cookie-cutter. Some vintage wear throughout. We clean thoroughly between every guest, but if gleaming new construction is what you're after, this may not be the right fit. 2. 🛣 Near a Freeway One block from a major arterial road. You will NOT hear freeway noise inside the apartment or in the backyard, but the area is dustier than quieter residential streets. We deep clean between every booking. 3. 🐀 Chicago's Rat Reality Chicago is consistently ranked #1 in the US for rats. It's a citywide issue, not specific to this building or block. You may occasionally see one on the sidewalk or patio in warmer months. The city actively manages pest control. We mention it so you're informed, not alarmed. 4. 🌿 420-Friendly - What That Means Cannabis is welcome here (see house rules for where). We ozone between every booking, but some residual smell is possible. If cannabis odour is a concern for you, this may not be the right fit. Cigarette smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. 5. Gap in calendar fee Chicago Mid Term Airbnb bookings must be a minimum of 32 days. If you request to book and there is a gap in the schedule less than 34 days then the host will not be able to fill that time with another booking. To resolve this there may be a fee to cover the gap in the calendar that will be necessary to cover in order to accept your booking. 👶 Traveling with a baby or young child? This is one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in my fair share. The host Bianca and the property manager Brock are fantastic communicators and exceptionally accommodating. The building feels historical without sacrificing any modern amenities. Floor to ceiling charm. And the location is fantastic as well. Short walk to two main cta lines and a handful of bus stops without being oversaturated with traffic. The next time I find myself in the city it will absolutely be the first place I check.

This place is a relaxing upstairs apartment, served as a great base camp and spot to hang out on our trip. Beds are comfortable, and my group of four friends had a restful few days. Location is private, and it was actually pretty quiet! As the description says, it's near a highway but you wouldn't know it. You're a pretty short walk to the heart of Wicker Park, but an even shorter walk to Hats---for those of you thinking about visiting the nearby dispensaries, Hats is very close by, open late, and has great Chicago street food. There's a Whole Foods and other grocery stores close but would be a little trek by foot, though parking is pretty easy both in that area and at the Airbnb. We had no problem parking, but keep in mind you will be parking on a nearby street, so expect the potential for parallel parking and your car being out of eyeshot. But the area is fine and well lit, nice surrounding neighborhood and an elementary school, people walking their dogs, a park, etc.---area felt safe. Ubers to anywhere in the city were less than $20, and buses pick up right on the corner; the Blue Line is a five-minute walk away, as well, to take you straight into downtown Chicago. Would definitely stay here again on my next fun time in Chicago.
